Tyre Sampson’s circle of relatives received $310 million when the youngster died after falling from the Drop Tower Ride.

The amount $310 million has been granted to the circle of relatives of Tyre Sampson, a 14-12 months-old who surpassed away in 2022 after falling from an leisure park ride in Orlando, Florida.

On March 24, 2022, Sampson, a resident of St. Louis County, Missouri, fell from the FreeFall drop tower enchantment whilst he and his family had been at ICON Park. After being taken to a nearby health facility, he surpassed far from his wounds.

According to local news stores WFTV and KSDK, his own family has won a civil action in opposition to Funtime Handels, the ride’s Austrian producer, and has been granted $310 million more than two years later. About an hour later, a jury declared the decision.

According to KSDK, a representative for Michael Haggard, one of the family’s attorneys, stated that Sampson’s parents will each get $155 million.

On Thursday, December 5, the prize was also revealed by family lawyers Ben Crump and Natalie Jackson on X (previously Twitter).

The producers of the ride “neglected their duty to protect passengers,” they noted in the statement, and the award ensures that they will “face the consequences of those decisions.”

According to Crump and Jackson, they “hope” the result “serves as a wake-up call for the entire industry” to impose “stricter safety measures.”

In a statement at the time, the theme park promised to “fully cooperate” with authorities going forward.
