Ahead of tomorrow’s trailer release, A24 has released the new poster for the dark comedy Death of a Unicorn, originally known as Death of a Unicorne.
The image below states that the dark comedy will be unconfined in the spring of 2025.
Actors of Death of a Unicorne
Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega (Scream, X, “Wednesday”) are the main actors in Death of a Unicorn. However, the talent is not limited to that. In addition to Ari Aster (Beau is Afraid, Misommar) producing the dark comedy, horror film composer John Carpenter will write the soundtrack.
Death of a Unicorne- the concept
A young woman in Death of a Unicorne named Mabs Millett inherits a large estate and struggles with the unexplained death of her ex-lover, a charming financier, years after their passionate affair. This leads her to re-examine the past and unearth secrets that alter her perception of her life and love story. The story is mainly connected to Peter Dickinson’s novel, “The Death of Unicorn.”
A father (Rudd) and daughter (Ortega) kill a unicorn in Death of Unicorne by accident on their way to a weekend retreat in Unicorn, where his millionaire boss (Richard Grant) aims to take advantage of the unicorn’s healing abilities.
The symbolic title “Death of Unicorn” alludes to the romanticised, even legendary character of Mabs and Amos’s bond, which was finally destroyed by his passing.
